Rehearsal CD recording
Each available minute these days is spent for the release of my first CD… This Saturday (17 July) we planned a rehearsal in the afternoon to prepare for the recording session on Monday 19 July.
Great show Hot Water – Paard van Troje
One day after the successful performance at Pier 32 with Donovan Copely, his manager Marcel van den Berg contacted me and asked me to do a guest performance with Hot Water, the original band of Donnovan at “Het Paard van Troje” in The Hague. The band came over from South Africa for a number of gigs in Europe.
A big surprise during Blues session Pier 32
A few weeks ago I got an invitation to play at Pier 32 in Kijkduin (The Hague). We set the date for 3 June. Since this was one of the first hot days in the Netherlands, it was a pleasure to play on the beach. Together with guitar player Paul Robert and vocalist Alma Sijpenhof we started an “accoustic” session. After a short break the blues session was opened.
Fajari impresses during JBTS Talent Award
Not too long ago I met Fajari, a great singer from Amersfoort. During the Jazz Below The Sea Talent award she made it to the finals. On 28 May the finals were held at “De Havenkom”, a nice bar in Almere Haven.
Des’ray & Friends – A special concert
On Sunday 16 May 2010 Des’ray (known from the famous 80′s band 2 Brothers on the 4th floor) and her friends gave a concert in Wakker – Home of Jazz. Every second Sunday of the month the Wakker stage belongs to the singer with the Satin voice.
Huge audience during Ascension Concert
On 13 May Wakker – Home of Jazz organised a special Ascension Concert. This jamsession, directed by piano player Paul Poulissen attrackted moch more people than Wakker expected for that evening. The reason for the huge audience was because of my e-mail lobby… Over 185 e-mails were sent to people interested in music. Besides the regular visitors many newcomers visited the jazz session that can be joined every two weeks.
CD-Release upcoming
Within a few months the first cd of Martijn Luttmer will be released on the Home of Jazz record label. The cd will contain twelve songs that all are originated in different countries. From the Netherlands up to Australia, from Brasil to Italy and from Belgium to the United States.
